桐朋女子高校音楽科、桐朋学園大学音楽学部卒業
1983年ニューヨークのジュリアード音楽院留学。サッシャ・ゴロドニツキ氏に師事
1986年マスター・オブ・ミュージックの称号を得て大学院を修了
ニューヨークのリンカーンセンター・ポールホールでデビューリサイタル開催
イタリア・シエナのキジアーナ音楽院にてグウィド・アゴスティ氏に師事
ディプロマ名誉賞受賞、最優秀者コンサートに出演
アメリカ、ヨーロッパ各地で演奏活動を続け、帰国後は東京をはじめ日本各地でリサイタル、室内楽と活躍中
1998年、イタリア・ポジターノでは、ジョン・オッコナー氏のケンプ財団ベートーヴェン・マスタークラスのピアニストに選ばれ、
「オール・ヴェートーベン・コンサート」に出演
1999年夏、ソリストとして九州交響楽団と大山平一郎氏指揮によるチャイコフスキーピアノ協奏曲を共演
同夏、岡山「上斎原ピアニストキャンプ」でソリストオーディション優勝、グリーグピアノ協奏曲を渡邉康雄氏の指揮で共演。
2002年、ヴァイオリニスト木村恭子氏とデュオYK²を結成
意欲的なプログラムによる活動は高い評価を得ている
2004年、05年、08年、10年と浜離宮朝日ホールにて開催されたピアノリサイタルでは絶賛を博す
2007年、CD「ラフマニノフ・コスモロジー」をリリース、絶賛発売中
2008年、09年、10年の12月には、札幌・Kitaraホールでの朝日新聞＆AFC主催のリサイタルは大好評を得る。
2010年、ライブ録音によるCD「アンコールの宝石箱」をリリース、絶賛発売中
Born in Kumamoto city, Yuriko began to study the piano at the age of 4.
When she was 14, she won a prize at the Japan Music Competition for Young Pianists.
From 1975, She studied at the Toho Music High School in Tokyo, and entered the Toho Music College where she got her Bachelor of Music, studying with Yasuo Watanabe.
In 1983, she entered the Juilliard School of Music in New York, where she studied under Sascha Gorodnitzki.
After graduating with Master of Music, majoring in piano, in 1986, she made her debut at Paul Hall of Lincoln Center in New York .
She also got the highest plize of Diploma with Honor from Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Italy, studying with Guido Agosti.
She has been giving recitals as a solo pianist, also as a chamber music concert pianist all over the world.
In 1998, she perfomed in Positano in Italy, as a pianist of “Beethoven Semina
r by Kempff’s federation” studying with John O’conor.
In 1999, she performed Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto with Kyushu Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Heiichiro Ohyama, also performed Grieg Piano Concerto as the first prize winner of Kamisaibara Music Camp conducted by Yasuo Watanabe.
In 2004,05,08,10, she has achieved to give her recitals at Hamarikyu Asahi Hall in Tokyo, supported by a wide range of fans.
In 2007, she has released CD titled “Rakhmaninov Cosmology” from Qualis.
In 2008,09,10, her recitals produced by Asahi Shinbun & AFC at Kitara Hall in Sapporo made her big success with high reputations.
In 2010,also released CD“YURICO FANTASIA”,widely acclaimed now.
